Somatic and Body-Based Therapy
Somatic-based therapy is an approach that focuses on the connection between the mind and body, recognizing that stress, anxiety, trauma, and emotional overwhelm are often experienced physically as well as emotionally. Rather than working only through thoughts and conversation, somatic therapy helps clients become more aware of bodily sensations, nervous system responses, tension patterns, and emotional reactions in a safe and supportive way. This approach can help people feel more grounded, regulated, and connected to themselves.
Somatic therapy can be especially helpful for anxiety, chronic stress, burnout, chronic pain, trauma, and feeling emotionally “stuck” or disconnected. By learning to better understand the body’s signals and responses, clients can begin to release tension, build emotional resilience, and develop a greater sense of safety and balance in their everyday lives. Tucker integrates somatic-based techniques with a calm, compassionate, and collaborative approach, helping clients slow down, reconnect with themselves, and move toward healing in a way that feels supportive and empowering.
