Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy is a compassionate, nonjudgmental approach that helps people better understand the different “parts” of themselves that shape their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships. Many people experience inner conflict — a part that feels anxious, perfectionistic, overwhelmed, self-critical, emotionally shut down, or constantly trying to stay in control. IFS helps clients explore these internal patterns with curiosity and compassion rather than shame, recognizing that these parts often developed as ways to protect or help us cope through difficult experiences.
Through this process, clients learn how to build a healthier relationship with themselves, increase self-awareness, and access a greater sense of calm, confidence, and emotional balance. IFS can be especially helpful for anxiety, burnout, trauma, chronic stress, self-worth struggles, relationship difficulties, and feeling emotionally stuck or disconnected. I approach IFS with warmth, openness, and deep respect for each client’s lived experience, helping people feel more connected to themselves and move toward healing in a way that feels empowering and supportive.
